The history of chiles rellenos dates back to colonial times in Mexico, where indigenous ingredients were combined with European culinary techniques. Chiles, originally from the Americas, have been an integral part of the Mexican diet since pre-Columbian times. The technique of stuffing chiles was perfected during colonial times, where ingredients such as cheese and meat were introduced.

Puff pastry, on the other hand, has its roots in European cuisine, particularly in French gastronomy. Its use in Mexican cuisine is relatively recent, but it has been enthusiastically adopted by chefs and home cooks looking to add a touch of elegance and modernity to their traditional dishes. Combining these two elements - the chiles rellenos and the puff pastry - creates a dish that is both a tribute to tradition and a celebration of culinary innovation: Stuffed Chiles with Pasta Puff Pastry.
